Update

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this blog. My apologies. I've been busy keeping my other blog, sdrvadventures up to date and have neglected this one. Anyway, here we are in March and I've got kayaking on my mind. Lots of nice weather in the forecast considering it's only March 1st. I'm hoping to get out around the end of the month or early April. Dave and I have been scouting out some areas closer to home such at the Upper Niagara River, Lake Erie and Lyons Creek to name a few. I added a cool light to my kayak late in the season last year. I've really enjoyed my evening paddles and wanted to add a safer, brighter light. Here's a picture of it:
So, last year after Presqu'ile Provincial Park, we headed north to Marten River and Temagami for holidays. I think we kayaked everyday while we were at Marten River. Not so much so at Temagami, but we got out once. Then we camped and kayaked at Selkirk Provincial Park and enjoyed some decent kayak fishing in Lake Erie. Next stop was Guelph Lake and then we finished our year out camping at Rockwood CA twice in September. I'll be putting up some posts about those trips with some kayaking photos.
In January, we added a canoe to our family of kayaks. A beautiful used lightweight 14 footer. It weighs in at around 50lbs. We're hoping to divide up our time kayaking and canoeing this season. Anyway, I'll be posting again soon!
